Remember that 600 mile bike ride (The Challenged Athletes' Million Dollar Challenge) two of our SKLZ Team Members took part in? What ever happened to them after the ride? Where are they now, what are they doing? Well find out below to see what Tim Norris, SKLZ Accounting Manager has been up to.
Shortly after last year's CAF ride, a few of us continued meeting for our Sunday rides. We often talked about upcoming "century" rides (100 miles) that occurred in January and February. Unfortunately, in Janurary I injured myself while golfing, so I was unable to ride my bike for 2 months. Since then my body has recovered and I've been riding at lunch and over the weekend. It was after getting back into it I decided, what the heck, why not try the Gran Fondo in San Diego? There are two (2) routes - a 58 mile route and a 105 mile route. Being a glutton for punishment, my intention is to finish the 105 mile ride. Why am I doing this? Well, I really want to keep up the bike riding. Not only is it great physical fitness, it's great for the mind, it's great on the waistline, it's a great way to see parts of the county I've never seen and it is a great way to meet people. I'm riding by myself, however, I'm sure I won't be riding alone. I'm not as prepared as I would like to be so it's going to be a great challenge! I have confidence though. Hopefully, I can find a few wheels to draft on to help ease the pain! I'll let you know on Monday.
