Sporting goods guru Michael LaPorte, Senior Buyer for Baseball at Sports Authority, tossed out the Ceremonial First Pitch at HohoKam Park, Spring home of the Chicago Cubs.

LaPorte stepped up and uncorked a dart at Cubs catcher Koyie Hill, a pitch that would make any knuckleballer look like The Rocket. 

The svelte right-hander and his SKLZ counterpart, yours truly - Jeff Schade - blogger and salesman extraordinaire, proceeded to put a mighty hurt on the beer and cocktail vendors at HohoKam, all to the delight of a cheering sell-out crowd.  It could have been the haze of the numerous ice cold and sudsy "Harry Caray Specials" or the buzzy sting of the Grey Goose in the Arizona heat, but there were rumors of a stadium-wide chant running through the crowd around the middle of the 8th........"Michael..." thump thump "Laporte" thump thump "Michael..." thump thump "Laporte" thump thump...
