SKLZ Leaps 325 Spots on The 2012 Inc. 5000

CARLSBAD, CA - August 20, 2012 - This week Inc. Magazine recognized SKLZ in its 31st annual "Inc. 500 | 5000," an exclusive list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. With 186 percent growth since 2008 and $60 million in revenue in 2011, SKLZ, the leader in athletic training products and instruction, jumped 325 spots to rank #1582 on this year's list.

"We are very proud to again be named to the Inc. 5000 list for the second year in a row" said SKLZ CEO, John Sarkisian, "Our aggressive growth is fueled by the team working every day with the same passion and entrepreneurial drive that came with the launch of our very first product in 2002. Seeing our company not only recognized on this list, but move up as we have, means we are staying true to our DNA."

While hard goods is not traditionally viewed as a high-growth category in the sporting goods industry, SKLZ's momentum in athletic training and skill development equipment continues to buck the trend. Increasing participation in performance training for team sports, solo competition and general fitness is expanding the consumer segment and creating broad demand for the innovative products and results-driven programs that SKLZ provides.

"The fact that our fast growth and rapid expansion at leading retailers such as Dick's Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, and others has occurred during these challenging economic times proves that athletes are as committed as ever to improving their performance. And they have embraced the SKLZ brand because they want the total experience: best-in class products, expert-led content and diverse programs that support their training," said Sarkisian.
