Last week, we held the very first SKLZ Global Sales Meeting where we hosted all of our partners from around the world in Carlsbad, California to give a rundown on what to expect from us in 2011 and beyond. Those who trekked the furthest came from England, Japan and Australia, though we also had representation from Orange County, the neighboring city to our north.
The 3 day event allowed us to share a wealth of information about our expanding product lines, growing partnerships, on and off-line initiatives, and top secret new ventures. Guests were even treated to two special guest speakers: Mark Verstegen of Athletes' Performance gave a spirited presentation about our new and upcoming products and why we've designed them the way we have. And John Siciliano from the Challenged Athletes Foundation shared his story of loss, which helped him find success through athletic achievement and acting.
The bonus, after all the hard work, miles traveled, and hours spent in meeting rooms, was that we had a ton of fun. Check out pictures from the event:

Opening Reception: everyone donned apparel from their favorite sports team or
other culturally inspired garb

We hit the beach to play games in teams,
and also discovered we have a strong collective sense of competition.

Of course a little dodgeball never hurt anyone... right?

Soccer brought out the fiercest competition, and for good reason
being that it's the most widely played international sport.
The GSM was a huge success. The feedback we received from our diverse audience was invaluable. We are all looking forward to reconvening in 2012 to let the inspiration (and Krazy Bolls) fly again.
