Only Two Days Left for SKLZ Riders on their 620 Mile Journey

SKLZ is proud to support the Challenged Athletes Foundation and their Million Dollar Challenge bike ride to raise funds for athletes with physical disadvantages. This year SKLZ has two riders that will be participating in the ride, CEO John Sarkisian and VP of Sales Mike Carlson. Today riders rode a little over 80 miles from Santa Barbara to Santa Monica.

After completing two days of 100+ mile rides, participants thought today's 89 miles would be a breeze. As riders left Santa Barbara they faced headwinds that proved quite difficult to pedal through. But the day went on and winds subsided, so riders were able to enjoy the coastline, loosen up and get a little goofy.Dodge MDC

The Garmin team expanded today with the addition of Dave Zabriskie- a very well known and celebrated name in professional cycling. He was able to link up with MDC riders for the day and bring them into Santa Monica.

During dinner, riders were greeted by another new face, Sarah Reinertsen, the first female amputee to complete Ironman Kona. Because of CAF she has been able to accomplish a long list of athletic endeavors. She spoke of how CAF is working to "make disability cool," something that was a challenge when she was growing up playing soccer.

And we can't forget about the Run Relay participants--they just made their way into Carlsbad and should arrive at CAF headquarters by midnight tonight!
