Tim Norris, Accounting Manager at SKLZ is participating in his first Million Dollar Challenge bike ride for the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
Our morning started at 53 degrees with overcast skies. The weather report said there was a 30 percent chance of rain. About 10 miles into the ride it started raining and
didn't stop until 60 miles later!
It was an absolutely brutal day to ride a bike! For the most part, if you kept moving, the air and rain was not too cold. Once we hit Pebble Beach not only did it rain cats and dogs but a cold wind came in to boot. Don't get me wrong, it was miserable, but then I saw David Lee, one of our paracylists with no jacket, soaked to the bone, face covered in mud- unbelievable! I asked him how he was holding up and all he did was point to his head and smile as if to say it's all mental! Set your mind to do something and you will achieve it. Needless to say, I absolutely had to finish the day. I certainly have NOTHING to complain about!
Good night- 120 miles tomorrow!
