2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl

January 10, 2012

SKLZ Army Bowl Booth

This past Saturday, the top high school football recruits selected to play in the 2012 U.S Army All-American Bowl prepared for kickoff. Of all high school players nationwide, the Army selected 96 of the top recruits among the nation to play in this prestigious game. Not only were those selected top athletes in their class, they were recognized for having characteristics similar to that of an Army Strong Soldier.

Preparing for the start.

Prior to noontime kickoff, SKLZ and Athletes' Performance, warmed up the West and the East All-Star Teams with pre-game movement prep similar to what they had experienced in the combine. These athletes had every combination of the static stretch & dynamic warm-up down to target. It was quite the sight, as these football players almost flawlessly executed their workout synchronously.

The game had nearly 30,000 people in attendance at the Alamodome and was also televised nationally on NBC.

The SKLZ team's first experience during the U.S Army All-American Bowl week was truly remarkable. Not only were we privileged to be a national sponsor at such a prestigious event, we were humbled by the stories, and by the people who we met during the week.

From the lessons that U.S. Army soldiers taught regarding strength, loyalty and personal courage, to the new forms of training shown by Athletes' Performance, these All-American athletes walked away from this week with an abundance of knowledge. They have been shown what it takes to be better athletes, stronger teammates, and most importantly better people. We are excited to be part of this event in years to come.
