Dave Cummings is no professional basketball player or movie star but is doing something very extraordinary. On Veteran's Day, November 11, 2011, Dave Cummings will shoot his 1 millionth free throw to benefit the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. This has been done with a bit of help from the SKLZ Rapid Fire.
Since starting his quest on Veteran's Day 2009, Dave has been shooting on average, 1000 free throws a day for the past two years. He has spent countless days shooting and sometimes with the help local basketball teams and even families of fallen heroes. When people aren't around, Dave would still have the help of the SKLZ Rapid Fire ball return, which helped him to shoot over 450,000 of his free throws. Since the Rapid Fire has helped him to get to this point, we will continue to help him by donating $20 to the Fallen Heroes Fund for every Rapid Fire sold now through Veteran's Day. Since the start of his quest he has collected over $61,000 in donations that will go to the Fallen Heroes Fund and hopefully we can add a bit more to this.
